Trying this new thing...Tip...?

So one of the "perks" of living in Florida is the heat and humidity...dear me, the humidity! It kills me haha if I hate anything, it's sweating. So I'm trying this new thing that I read about a while go. Smeone said use deodorant on the areas of their face that sweats the most. So this morning I tried it out, and so far, I've noticed less sweat. I'm wondering if this is gonna be any good for my skin haha I'm not sure if this is a tip or me being foolish and believing everything I read on the Internet haha

Look of the Day

This is my makeup for today. It's a very simple, easy, quick as a bunny look! It's something I've been wearing more and more lately during the summer. It's more sweet then it is sassy ;3

Quick Tip: Wet Your Cosmetic Sponge

This was one of those tips that I thought people just said for the sake of saying. I never really understood the idea behind it. How did getting a cosmetic sponge wet help get better looking foundation??
It wasn't until I heard someone quickly explain it that I finally understood what everyone who used this was getting at!

Getting your cosmetic sponge damp will cause the sponge to soak up less foundation, which will result in more makeup for you, and will give the applicator a more even surface for the makeup to sit on.

Even here you can see that the foundation on the top (which was applied with a damp sponge) is much more even and opaque then the foundation applied with a dry sponge.

Hello there. My name is Erica,

And this is my little makeup corner haha. I already have a blog here on blogspot called PityTheVanity, which is more where I post almost every sort of makeup look that I do/have done.
Lately though, I've been thinking of starting a blog where I share about makeup, and learn and listen to what people have to say on makeup. And so, here it is! I don't really have a schedule yet to what I'm going to be posting yet, but hopefully once I get the hang of blogging, I'll be able to have something more consistant :)

I suppose I should start by introducing myself. My name is Erica and I live in Florida. I've only been playing around with makeup for about year and a half or so. I don't consider myself a makeup "artist" (though some people have called me that, and I'm terribly flattered by it). I consider myself more of a makeup enthusiast. I'm 18 and am starting my first year of college in the next couple of days. I have no idea yet what I'm going to major in, but hopefully I'll figure it out sometime down the road (I'm thinking humanities, maybe?).

Like I said earlier, I'm still getting the hang of blogging, but hopefully I'll have it more figured out soon. I'm hoping to fill this blog with things like swatches, first impressions, reviews, looks I've done and products used, tips and tricks I've learned, and other things here and there. I'm also hoping that I hear back from people who read what I write and get their opinions from it :)

Thanks y'all!
